Feeling suspicious, distrustful, like something shady is going on. In Spain, you're mosqueado when someone gives you a weird vibe or you sense they're hiding something from you. It can also mean being annoyed or irritated depending on context.
To make a mistake or mess up, especially by saying something inappropriate at the worst possible moment. When you screw up unintentionally, everyone notices, and there's no way to unsay what you said.
