The concha is probably the most iconic and beloved pan dulce in Mexico, found in every bakery across the country. Mexicans grow up eating conchas for breakfast or as a late night snack, and it is practically a national treasure.

A huge, disgusting mess. In Mexico, cochinero describes a place that is filthy, cluttered, or so disorganized it makes you cringe just looking at it. The word comes from "cochino" (pig, dirty), and it is exactly what your mom calls your room when you have not cleaned it in a week. It can refer to physical messes like a trashed kitchen after a party, or even a messy situation in general. If someone says your place is a cochinero, you should probably start cleaning immediately.
