/Sounds like "chahm" (as in "chat") + "breh" (as in "bread") + "AHN" (as in "art") + "doh" (as in "door")/

Meaning

Going around gossiping, talking about other people's business, or sticking your nose where it does not belong. From "chambre" (gossip), turned into a verb. Very Mexican: the person chambreando is always the first to know everyone's business and the last to keep quiet about it.

Examples

Stop gossiping and get back to work for once.

The whole office is buzzing about what happened at the Friday party.

Regional synonyms

Having no appetite, not feeling hungry at all. In Mexico, "filo" means hunger, so "sin filo" is simply the absence of it. It is a casual expression for those days when your stomach is just not asking for anything, even when it is well past mealtime.
