Meaning

To make a lot of money in a short amount of time by taking advantage of peak demand or a lucky opportunity. Used in Spain. The expression comes from the August harvest, when farmers would bring in their biggest earnings of the year. Today it applies to any business or person who cashes in big during a high-demand moment.
