Jote
/Sounds like "HOH" (as in "hope") + "teh" (as in "ten")/
A person who persistently pursues someone romantically without being welcome and refuses to read the signs. In Chile, the word comes from the jote, an Andean scavenging bird known for circling and hovering. The jote hovers. He circles. He does not take a hint.
