A person from northern Mexico — Sonora, Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Sinaloa — with their own dialect, cuisine, music style and cultural identity distinct from central Mexico.
Nonsense, a lie, or something completely absurd and meaningless. In Mexico, 'mamada' describes anything that defies logic or decency — a stupid decision, an outrageous lie, a baffling situation. It's versatile and emphatic: whatever it describes, it's firmly unacceptable.
An expression indicating immediacy, but in Mexico, it can mean 'soon' or 'at an indefinite moment', often used to reassure someone that something will be done promptly, even if it's not exactly immediate.
A shameless, irresponsible person who avoids their obligations without caring what anyone thinks. In Mexico, a 'vaquetón' is someone who owes everyone, never shows up when they should, and somehow always has an excuse ready — and never feels bad about any of it.
