Novio

A Honduran rural or urban worker who earns a living through pure force, especially one who uses a machete in the field to cut cane, coffee plants, or brush. By extension, a machetero is anyone who works hard without complaint, without shortcuts, with their hands. In Honduras the word is synonymous with respect: it acknowledges whoever holds up the country's hard work.
