In Colombia, flat broke with nothing to spare, not even bus fare. You are surviving on creativity alone until payday rolls around.

Examples

No me invites a comer, estoy parolo hasta el viernes.

Don't invite me out to eat, I'm completely broke until Friday.

¿Vamos a rumbear? No puedo, estoy parolo.

You going out to party? I can't, I'm dead broke.

A firm "no" in Chilean Spanish, combining the negation "no" with the discourse marker "poh." It sounds casual and almost gentle but it is completely final. "Na poh" is one of the most instantly recognizable features of the Chilean accent and shows up in almost every conversation.
