/Sounds like "en-kah-cheem-BOW"/

A Nicaraguan adjective describing someone furious, raging, completely out of their mind. It's past annoyance: not irritation, full-blown blown-up. Also spelled "encachimbado" but in daily speech the "d" drops out in the typical Central American phoneme. If a Nica tells you they're encachimbao, don't argue right now.

Example

"Llegó del trabajo encachimbao. → He came home from work furious."

"No vayás a hablarle, está encachimbao. → Don't talk to him, he's raging."

Regional synonyms:

An old, beat-up car that barely runs, stalls on its own, and makes weird noises. In Venezuela, a 'perol' is that car that should be in the junkyard.
