/Sounds like "ha" (as in "ha!") + "ra" (as in "rock" without the "ck") + "neh" + "ro" (as in "road" without the "d")/

A party animal, someone who's always looking for a good time and never says no to going out. This is that friend who turns every casual gathering into a full blown party and is always the last one standing. Used in Mexico and Peru with a tone that's more amused than judgmental.

Example

"Mi tío es bien jaranero, siempre es el último en irse de las fiestas. -> My uncle is a total party animal, he's always the last one to leave."

"No seas jaranero, mañana tienes que trabajar temprano. -> Stop partying so much, you have to work early tomorrow."
