A saying that warns if something bad has happened twice, it will probably happen a third time. The Spanish numerical superstition — bad things come in threes.

Example

"He already broke two things today. Bad luck always comes in threes — wait for the third."

"They rejected the project twice. These things happen in threes."

Regional synonyms:

Exclamación de frustración, sorpresa o lamento, un eufemismo suave para expresar enojo sin ofender a nadie. En Argentina, Chile y Perú la usas cuando la situación amerita reaccionar fuerte.
