Meaning

Hard, manual, unglamorous work that nobody wants to do but somebody has to get done. In Mexico, talacha is the daily grind, the dirty work, the heavy lifting that keeps things running. When someone says "hay que hacer talacha," it is time to roll up your sleeves and put in real effort.
