Bandera de México

/Sounds like "tee" + "lee" + "cheh" (as in "check" without the "ck")/

A piece of junk, an old or worthless object that's just taking up space. In Mexico, people use it to describe those random things cluttering your room that you should've thrown away ages ago. It's like calling something "junk" or "knickknack" but with more annoyance attached.

Example

"Tu cuarto está lleno de tiliches, ya haz limpieza. -> Your room is full of junk, clean it up already."

"No compres más tiliches en el tianguis. -> Don't buy more useless stuff at the street market."
