Meaning

In Spain, to be stuck with a bad outcome and just have to swallow it. When you miss your chance, show up too late, or get shut out of something, there is no fixing it. Roughly equivalent to "tough luck" or "you missed the boat."

If you don't study in time, you lose the scholarship and that's that.

He showed up late and just had to deal with it, there were no tickets left.
