Bandera de Honduras
Bandera de Guatemala

/Sounds like "SEEN-choh"/

A Honduran and Guatemalan expression meaning "for sure," "no doubt," or "definitely." "Cincho que voy" means I'm definitely going, no question. Comes from the idea of a tight belt, something fixed, strapped, secure. Used as a rock-solid affirmation when you want to make clear there's no room for doubt. Also works to reaffirm a plan or promise something with conviction.

Example

"Cincho voy al partido el sábado. → I'm definitely going to the game Saturday."

"Cincho que te lo paso mañana. → I'll get it to you tomorrow, guaranteed."
