Meaning

A young guy, a boy, a kid. In Venezuela and the Caribbean, jevito is the diminutive of jevo, affectionate when used about children, and sometimes used to describe a young man who's still got that boyish energy.

Examples

Ese jevito ya quiere salir a bailar y tiene diez años.

That little kid already wants to go dancing and he's only ten.

He's a young guy but he has more sense than a lot of adults.

Word family

A hard, heavy hit that really hurts. In Mexico it can also mean a brutal cold or flu that knocks you out, 'me dio un trancazo' means I got hit hard by sickness.
