An honest worker who grinds every day to earn their bread with effort and dignity in Argentina. Being a laburante is the proud identity of the Argentine working class, the one who wakes up early and never shies away from hard work.
“He's an honest laburante, never misses a day.”
“Us laburantes always get the short end of the stick.”

Something of little value or importance. The most common phrase is "no es moco de pavo" (not turkey snot), which means the opposite: this thing is actually significant and should not be underestimated. A strange but memorable metaphor for downplaying or upgrading something's importance depending on how you use it.
