Bandera de España

/Sounds like "tron" (as in "strong" without the S) + "ko" (as in "cocoa")/

A clumsy, useless, or incompetent person in Spain. Calling someone "tronco" means they're bad at what they're doing, like that friend who can't kick a ball straight or the coworker who messes everything up. Literally means "log" or "trunk," because a log just sits there being useless.

Example

"Eres un tronco jugando al fútbol. -> You're terrible at soccer."

-> What a klutz, he spilled coffee on himself again."
