To wink as a signal that something is agreed, there's something between two people, or as a sign of complicity. In Chile and Argentina it means you're both on the same team — no words needed.
A classic scam where someone convinces a victim there's a family member or acquaintance in trouble to extract money. The uncle scam is as old as deception itself — and somehow it keeps working.
A Chilean expression telling someone to get lost, go away, or just expressing strong annoyance. It's the softened Chilean version of a stronger expression — direct but not as brutal as it could be.
To be the different or problematic member of a group, usually a family — the one who doesn't fit the expected mold. In the Río de la Plata the black sheep isn't always wrong — just different from what everyone wanted.
To hit the mark exactly, to say or do precisely what the situation required. In the Southern Cone, dar en el blanco is the compliment for someone who got it exactly right with no room for interpretation.
