A slap in the face, typically given with an open hand, is a swift, loud, and humiliating blow.
To not matter at all — to be completely indifferent about something. The pepper as the minimum unit of indifference in Spanish slang.
To face a problem head-on, without detours or fear. The image of the bullfighter who doesn't dodge but attacks the problem directly, grabbing it by the horns with full confidence.
To eat excessively, to stuff yourself beyond any reasonable limit. In Spain, the panzada is the post-feast state where you literally cannot eat one more bite and regret nothing.
To talk endlessly, without stopping, without giving anyone else a chance to speak. The non-stop monologue that leaves everyone else waiting for a gap that never comes.
