/Sounds like "koh" (as in "coat") + "POO" (as in "pool") + "chah" (as in "chat")/

Meaning

Gossip or a juicy rumor that's spreading from person to person. In Chile, copucha is the go-to word for those spicy stories everyone's whispering about, whether it's about a breakup, a scandal, or someone's secret. Chileans love their copuchas, and "andar regando copuchas" means to go around spreading gossip.

Examples

Did you hear the gossip about Cami? She broke up and nobody even knew.

Don't go spreading rumors if you don't actually know whether it's true.

Regional synonyms

The live broadcast of an event on TV, radio, or the internet. When Mexicans ask '¿En qué canal es la transmisión?' they're asking where to watch the soccer game, and the answer to that question can decide whether the watch party happens at your house or at someone else's.
