Meaning

To trash-talk someone intensely and with real bitterness, leaving nothing good about them standing. When you "echar pestes," you are not venting, you are demolishing.

Examples

She arrived at the meeting tearing her boss apart.

The whole neighborhood was trash-talking him after what he did.

To suddenly and intensely crave something, usually food. Cravings in Spanish do not ask for permission: they just happen, often at the worst possible hour, and "antojarse" captures that spontaneous, irresistible pull perfectly.
