Meaning

In Argentina, to go way overboard, exaggerate beyond all reasonable limits, or do something so disproportionate it becomes absurd. The image of "going to the grass" evokes leaving the marked path and wandering into uncontrolled territory. Applies to prices, reactions, amounts, or behavior.

Examples

He went completely overboard with the price, that's not worth even half of what he's asking.

We went way too far with the food, we bought enough for ten people.

A lot or plenty in Colombia, used as an intensifier to emphasize large quantities. It's interchangeable with 'resto' and adds that Colombian flavor to everyday speech.
