A Chicano and Caribbean Spanish verb that comes from the English "to check" conjugated as a Spanish verb. It means to review, verify, look at, or confirm something. It's one of the most classic examples of Spanglish absorbing English verbs and Hispanicizing them with full Spanish conjugation. It's used in the US, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean as an everyday word.
