Meaning

In Mexico, to play dead, to pretend you didn't hear, see, or know anything about something. The strategic deployment of total ignorance when accountability comes knocking.

Examples

He played completely clueless when they asked about the money.

Don't play dead, I know you were right there.

Abundant, in large quantity or volume. In Argentina and Uruguay, "copioso" applies to heavy rain, a very generous meal, or anything that comes in an amount clearly above normal. More common in journalistic and formal registers, but also used in everyday speech.
