/Sounds like "YAHN" (as in "yard") + "tah" (as in "tar")/

Meaning

A car tire, the wheel that always seems to go flat at the worst possible moment. In Mexico and most of Latin America, "llanta" is the standard word for what Spain calls "neumático." Unavoidable topic when talking about cars, roads, or bad luck.

Examples

Se me ha pinchado una llanta en plena carretera. (I got a flat tire right in the middle of the highway.)

Las llantas ya están muy lisas, hay que cambiarlas antes de que sea un problema. (The tires are already too worn down, we need to change them before it becomes an issue.)
